The Brief: Brookfield Properties are experts at Placemaking which is the ability to dream of and construct new destinations around the world. One of their latest projects is Manhattan West; a new neighborhood located just west of Moynihan Station in New York City. This location is home to a variety of mixed use space, retail, residential and office. It also plays host to a large public space centrally located within the 2 square blocks of the development. Manhattan West Tower 2 will be under construction until 2023 and as such requires a large “shed” structure installed onto the plaza to protect from the construction above. This created a wonderful opportunity to utilize the existing elements in a new way to generate foot traffic through the plaza.
The Solution: Working with the necessary structural components such as the “shed” as well as the planter beds; we designed, developed and installed a whimsical lemon garden aimed to be a destination which encouraged people to spend time, take pictures and interact with the various physical and digital touchpoints throughout the plaza.
The Results: Citrovia opened to very positive fanfare making publications such as: The New York Times, Architectural Digest, The New Yorker, Fast Company, Time Out and more.

The Brief: Develop a highly interactive and engaging series of digital installations to help celebrate 100 years of film, photography, literature, Art, music and fashion in and about New York City. Each component of the exhibit should work in concert with each other to create an overall customer experience that enhances all of the media formats. Users should be able to move freely throughout and experience the exhibition either passively or actively without a decrease in user experience.
The Solution: In partnership with Exhibit Design firm, Studio Joseph and DOME COLLECTIVE and content producers, RadicalMedia, we helped to concept, build and install 5 key exhibit areas. Each area was designed to engage users by presenting a library of various media types in their absolute best light. The exhibit included an immersive theatre, an interactive lighting and music installation, projection mapping, an “Place and Learn” RFID-enabled room and a series of embedded displays throughout the exhibit to create a consistent and themed experience.
The Results: Extended Visitor demand for the exhibit led to scheduled show times for the immersive theater.

The Brief: The founders of Nala Pod reached out when they realized that a key differentiator between their product and other privacy/lactation pod products would not only be a stunning industrial design aesthetic with never before seen amenities but would also be a smart ecosystem offering customization through technology. The goal was simple, how do we design a series of technical systems that achieve comfort, customization and sustainability.
The Solution: Working closely with the world-class product design team at Pensa , we not only designed and speced a world class system but also later helped to deploy the technological components that facilitate: Scheduling, Lighting, Security and monitor the overall system health.
The Results: Nala Pod has successfully launched their pilot pod in the heart of New York City with several more scheduled for installation in the coming months.

The Brief: Ray Ban was looking to bolster their presence at the annual Vision Expo West conference. To do this they were looking for an innovative way to get the attendees engaged with their new Blaze collection. Our solution was to gamify their experience.
The Solution: We developed a gaming experience whereby people would register at the interactive Kiosk allowing for a data capture opportunity. During this fast process, users were also invited to choose their favorite Ray Ban Blaze collection glasses and virtually try them on using Augmented Reality filters. Once they completed the check in process, they were invited to the gameplay area which featured their picture (taken moments ago) adorning the projection mapped wall. They could then take the provided kickballs and toss them onto the projection mapped surface in an effort to see how many Ray Ban Blaze glasses they could put onto the virtual face as possible. High scores were captured and daily prizes were awarded to the top contenders.

The Brief: TD Ameritrade was looking for a innovative way engage LINC attendees to participate in a corporate giving activity. Building on the idea of a 5K road race, we constructed a virtual reality bike race where attendees race the clock and pick up “power ups” to add to their individual giving total. A display shows the scoreboard and allows the attendees to engage in friendly competition to see who can generate more during their 2:30 ride.
The Solution: Using newly released VirZoom VR Haptic Bikes, we developed a productized game experience where by users can ride laps around a virtual course and collect points that equate to a corporate giving dollar amount.
The Product: While this was initially deployed for a corporate retreat event with TD Ameritrade, it was productized and deployed several times over the course of a two year span. The software design enable us to make updates through a very simple localized CMS which can change the colors, graphics, logos, audio, scoreboards, maps and scenery in just minutes.

The Product: Training GO is an iOS training tool based on the wildly successful Pokemon GO game. The gameplay is designed for indoor spaces and utilizes bluetooth beacons to triangulate the position of the users in play.
Once a user enters a pre-defined space, “Quiz Stops” appear allowing users to click and complete a multiple choice question before they enter the AR experience of capturing a 3D model projected into the space which reinforces the main theme of your training session.
Users are awarded points for answering the question correctly, the number of attempts needed to capture the 3D object and time required to complete the task. Point totals are then collected and displayed on the leaderboard.

Overview: In 2015-2016 I conducted a series of experimental shoots to test the viability of volumetric video production for B2C business opportunities. I was involved with a startup called RowZero which was looking to become the first multi-angle, user directed, live-streaming 360 video service based in the music industry. We captured and produced a series of Volumetric “Videos” of singer/songwriter Stephen Kellogg to test the viability of this bleeding edge technology at the time. The company we partnered with was Organic Motion.
After these initial sessions, we expanded to explore the viability of launching an exercise series.
I have produced marker and markerless based AR programs for a number of clients to satisfy a variety of business goals. In addition to leading AR projects, I've also been involved in several mixed reality pieces utilizing the Microsoft Hololens as well as Magic Leap headsets.
Projects have included 8 minute immersive AR stories to visualize the automated city of the future with autonomous vehicles and cloud based traffic control to the recreation of the popular Pokemon Go game for use indoors at tradeshows and conferences to gamified AR scavenger hunts where users get to compete by finding the various AR markers throughout a event space and playing the associated games to see if they can top the scoreboard.
My first projects in the space started with spherical photography and 360 video. I developed and produced projects for Ryan Serhant of Million Dollar Listing, Ellen Tracy, live concerts, several large Pharma companies, Samsung and the I Love NY campaign.
My experience have led me to write, director, operate cameras and post produce (stitch, VFX, edit and mix spatial audio) 360 films.
The Brief: Develop a brand new UX concept for a Real Estate app by merging the best parts of Zillow with Bumble!
The Solution: Starting with the New York City Real Estate market, we built an iOS and Android app experience that customizes real estate selections based on your preferences and swiping history. The goal was to design a uniquely simple experience and allow users the surprise and delight of the popular dating apps while delivering meaningful and personalized real estate recommendations based on the user preferences.
The experience begins with a simple onboarding to determine the user likes and dislikes. Once they’ve established the baseline preferences, a user can begin swiping properties which in turn refines their upcoming recommendations based on a 14 point algorithm structure that ranks each property against a variety of binary and also qualitative factors.
The Results: The app has a 4.8 rating on both the Apple and Google Play stores. The app has been featured on TechCrunch , Architectural Digest , The Wall Street Journal and AdWeek.
